Duration: 35 min.
The beginning of civilization is not the bow.
Nor the arrow.
Nor the clay bowl.
But the first healed femur.
The largest and strongest bone in the body, and the one that takes the longest to heal. Which means that someone stayed with the injured person, that someone cared.
Offered support.
And this place we are building, and fighting for, is at least a temporary place of support. It comes into being through a negotiation between closeness and surrendering to being led, between trust as a prerequisite and letting go.
What can we do when there are two of us, and what happens when it becomes too tight?
How do I surrender my weight to another, and what happens when I offer my own back?
What happens when I lean on another, while at the same time remaining aware that the support is temporary?
Can I jump into the space of another?
What kind of support can I be, and what kind of support do I need?
